cleaning aluminum wheels
Hi i posted this in the is forums, no one replied so im gonna try my luck in here
Wats the best way to clean aluminum wheels?
The guys at the gas station where i was my car used windex last time, i kinda freaked out on them cause since i heard it was bad for chrome i thought it may make have an adverse effect on my wheel. Was i right?
I want my wheels to shine like they did when i bought them, any other ideas i should be aware about? cleaning polishing etc. Thanks

If they have a clear coat, everything I said still applies. If they are bare metal aluminim, only a mag wheel polish will make them shine. Either way, windex shouldn't hurt them but I wouldn't want to use it too oftem. Windex has amonia in it, that will strip the wax or sealant off.
