Default House Paint on Car

Good Afternoon,

Looking for a little advice here. I was pulling into my garage last evening, and rubbed up against the frame and white paint came off onto my car.

Now, I've read several suggestions, including, using nail polish remover, goof off and the clay bar. What works best? What isn't going to mess up my paint?

Please help in anyway. I have attached a picture and want to know the best way to remove this.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Nice rub you have there. Judging from the picture, it looks like you mainly have paint transfer from the frame to your car. I would suggest a claybar to remove as much as possible and follow up with a good polish. Whatever you do....don't put fingernail polish on the paint.

If they clay bar won't remove it, then try scratch x.

If that doesn't work, what you can try is this.

Clay bar with goof off
ScratchX
Paint cleaner
Clay bar again for some extra grease

That looks like it needs something a bit more abrasive..Try wetsanding with fresh 2000 grit sandpaper then follow with a compound via rotary or PC...

I recently had an overspray accident. But it was car paint.

I used claybar and it worked like a charm. Id give that a try first and see what happens.
