Default oooooooooooo! Pretty!!!

Well, had some time on my hands, as well as some good weather. Finally!!! We've been bombarded with cold temperatures, rain, and snow.

You can find the pictures here,

http://s124.photobucket.com/albums/p...400/1-08-2007/

Hosed down the entire car
Washed wheels with Maguires' NXT Generation car wash.
Washed car with Maguires' NXT generation car wash.
Used a squeegee on windows
Clay barred the entire car for a smoother finish. (It's better that you use gloves, keeps your skin oil off of the clay bar!)
Maguires' Paint cleaner step 1. (I let it sit for about 10 minutes)
Maguires' Polish step 2. (I let this sit for about 15-20 minutes)
Maguires' Wax step 3. (I left this sitting for a good hour)
Cleaned glass with Windex
Vacuumed interior
Sprayed Febreeze to kill odors
Cleaned rubber mats
Used Maguires' Wax step 3. (I left this coat on for another 2 hours)

Total time: 5 and a half hours.

I'm very pleased with the results. Maguires' NXT Generation car was solution is absolutely worth the money imho. Really does get the contaminants off and out of the paint. Leaves a fresh smell too!

The only thing I wish I had was a way to paint clean, polish, and wax with a machine. I'm down to my last $300.00, and I need to find something that will LAST, and give me good/excellent results as to other machines as well. And no, I'm not going to walmart, or some other auto shop :P

What do you guys and gals think?

The wax:

Paint Cleaner:
http://www.meguiars.com/?auto-paint-...-Paint-Cleaner

Polish:
http://www.meguiars.com/?car-polishe...-System-Polish

You can find these at your local Pepboys or autozone. You'll be lucky to find these at strauss auto heh.

NXT 2.0 isn't a favorite of mine for the wax. The Previous version came off too easily, and didn't give me that "sparkle" I was looking for. sequels always suck ;]

Don't use window cleaners with ammonia like Windex ! There are docens of threads explaining why you should use ammonia in window cleaning.

Great job! But here are a few tips to speed things up next time...

If I understand correctly (from the Meguiars classes I've attended), polish should be removed almost immediately after it's applied. Also apply only a section at a time. Polishing the entire car, then removing will make it a painstaking process. The polish job is completed once you apply it onto the vehicle, it doesn't do you any good to leave it sitting for a long time. Just makes it harder to remove.

Also, with the wax, it doesn't matter if you leave it on there overnight or after it has dried. Once you do a "finger swipe test", if it comes off clean and doesn't leave any streaks behind, you should be ok to buff off everything. Again, leaving it for long periods doesn't serve you any good.

Excellent job though! Makes me want to go do mine now!
