Question Cleaning dashboard.

Anyone use any cleaners for the dashboard? Or do you guys just use a water dampened towel?

aerospace 303....non greasy, nice smell, makes the plastic look great, and the best part it's spf so it protects the dash also. highly recommend it.

The Meguiars that D. Jobin reccomended is good stuff and so is the Lexus vinyl care black bottle from the dealership. it was about $9.00 and I love it. Non-greasy and offers a small cherry smell. It is best to use when the dash is warmed up as the product will absorb better.

I use the Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer. I't a good cleaner and it leaves the dash new looking with no glare. It has UV inhibitors too so it protects well. 303 is also nice but harder to find and more expensive.

I have used the following (i have a black interior):

1. meg's quick interior detailer
2. Vinylex (lexol)
3. 303 protectant

meg's gives the best finish over-all gives that new car look to the dash.

303 is ok but kind of shiny so you'll have to go over it again with a clean towel to remove the "shine." Good because it has UV protectors in the product.

Vinylex very shiney, may want to cut it a little with some water, spray, wipe then wipe again.

I consider those 3 more as protectants for the dash. To actually clean the dash I do the woolite & water mix, spray on the dash and wipe/scrub down with a clean towel. After I clean with woolite & water I go over it with one of the 3 protectants above. I clean the dash this way maybe once every 2-3 months or so (if you're a smoker may want to do it more often).

303 gets my vote for OTC product. 1Z Cockpit Premium for higher-end product.

Chemical Guys VRT is also good stuff (didn't want to get into the specialized stuff in my previous post). Personally I think all VRTs work pretty much the same which makes me think it's all the same product just re-labled...just a hunch.

Yep, they're the same product. Adam's polishes are made by Chemical Guys, as is Danase.
