Default Dirty Carpet

Can anyone recommend a good, high quality cleaner for carpet? I've tried a number of cleaners, but they just don't seem to fullly get the job done.

The cleaner is only half of the equation
I have the foaming one and meguiars quik out which works pretty well on stains.
However, i found that 3 gallons of hot/warm water and 'spray away' (from costco) works great when you want to clean the Entire carpet.
Just soak a cotton terry towel in the very diluted solution and wring it pretty well...should be damp to the touch. Then just go over the carpet going in the direction of the weaving. Then take 3 gallons of warm water and repeat to rinse.

-Floor mats use the spray away solution, scrub and rinse with a garden hose.
You'd want to get your carpets steamed by a professional with an extractor machine every year or two since theres only so much you can take out by hand.
