Default Finally, an effective and cheap glass cleaning solution!

I purchased my pearl white SC400 a month ago and have been thrilled with it. The car looks great. Unfortunately the auto glass has hard water spotting, probably left over from being parked close to a sprinkler system using "hard" water. I've tried many products to clear up and polish the glass ... to no avail.

This is the reason I started this thread ...

The solution: Glass Scrub, made by Unelco

Where to buy: The wife found it at a local Wal-Mart here in Orlando

Cost: CHEAP, $3.95!

How it's used: Wet the glass, put a small amount on a damp cloth. Wipe on the wet glass using a circular motion. Wash off with water. Dry glass. You're done.

Effectiveness: First application was 90% effective. 2nd application (if desired) took it to 100%.

My rating: 10 out of 10 or amazing.

Bottom Line: The best value in a glass cleaner. Its not a traditional cleaner per se. Glass Scrub is more like a cleaner/polish, similar to something you would use on your paint finish.

I've read other posts about this product in these forums but could never find it locally. I called the manufacturer a few weeks ago and was told that they only sold to stores selling shower (bathroom glass) products BUT that they had just shipped a huge quantity to Wal-Mart's distribution center. 3 weeks later and it is showing up in Wal-Marts auto section.

If you are in need of an effective glass cleaner ... you cannot go wrong with this product.

I have always used Stoner's Invisible Glass. It's cheap, and relatively easy to find.

This is the link of the mfgr. site: http://www.invisibleglass.com/

This stuff is terrific. Does not streak, safe to use on tints. Hell, I've used it for over 2 years for cleaning my sunglasses and bathroom mirrors in my house.

I use Stoners as well but only if the glass is dirty ... not marred with hard water deposits. Glass Scrub is, IMHO one of those tools you use when you've parked at the golf club and they turned on the sprinkler system ... and they use high mineralized well water to water the grass. Using Stoner's assumes that the glass is in great but dirty shape. The use of Glass Scrub assumes that the glass has deposits on it that Stoner's will not touch.

I posted this thread as a tool for people who literally love to keep their cars looking beautiful. It is a CHEAP tool, costing only $3.95.

Stoners is a great product ... but sometimes it takes a LOT of work just to get your windows to the point where you can use Stoners to be effective.

I checked a couple of Walmarts around here and neither had it. Maybe only the Walmart Supercenters carry it. But the nearest supercenter to me is about a 4 hour ride each way. Not worth it. Seems like in the most populated state (CA) in the country and there are only 7 Walmart Supercenters in the entire state.
