Help! Idiot friend scratched my trunk!
So today, my friend wanted to hear my bass and randomly decided to put a pair of scissors on my trunk while I was bumping my music and this happened...
The scratch is about 3 inches in length.
Anyway I cant get this off my trunk?!?!
Should I use wax and buff it out or buy some scratchX?
Thank in advance.

I put the jacket on there because of the glare. I just waxed her a couple days ago(my jacket was the only thing I had in the trunk at the time). Only put the jacket on there because it has plastic zippers.

ByoungWoo...this is what I would do...but please know that I am not a detailer...check the other threads for some real pro's...but try this...
1. buff out as much as you can using a scratch remover
hopefully you will be get some of it to disappear.
2. fill the rest in using touch up paint (use toothpick application) repeat a couple of times to ensure you fill the gap in paint....allow to dry between applications...and also the final application thoroughly.
3. use the "special" solvent called langka (look it up on the threads as well as langka.com) to even it out to make it as unnoticeable as possible.
I am in the process of doing something similar on my GS...although not near as long as yours....others seem to have some success. May take some practice.
Worth a try before trying the more invasive wet sanding approach (technique dependent, experience dependent) or sending it to a body shop ($$$).
Worst case is that it doesnt turn out the way you like.... just use the langka to remove the touch up paint....you would only be out the $25 for the langka solution.
Good luck...and b$%^ slap your friend for all of us...oh yeah, make your friend pay for the langka while you are at it.

something to think about...Mother's also markets their repackaged version of this which is supposed to be the exact same thing...it is a hell of a lot cheaper...not sure if it is still available...google it.
As for Langka, not sure the usefulness of the $45-$50+ kit as only one bottle really matters...and that is the solvent. Seems the premix is just alcohol...and the last "sealant" is just liquid wax.
Again, I have no proof...just reading threads and reading between the lines of all of the literature on their site.
I saw another post that someone claims that nail polish remover does the exact same thing...but I cant recommend this/confirm this...I am cheap but not worth the risk on an expensive car.
let us know how things go...I will do the same.
