Default Gonna Clean My Nasty Leather This Weekend!

Ok I was thinking of trying the soap trick. My leather is quite dirty and has alot of cracks. they are small , but look bigger due to dirt in them. I was thinking of using dove soap and water and lexol conditioner. I have heard that woolite and soft scrub do good, but IM scared of it messing leather up. Dove soap is very mild, but im afraid it wont get it clean enough. I may get some lexol cleaner as well to see what works best. Let me know what you all think is the safest and easiest way to restore them back to new.

Lexol cleaner is the best way to go...use a tooth brush if you want to play safe...or a foam or MF applicator pad would be easier to apply on larger areas...and then do the cracks with the tooth brush..

using Dishwashing soap is a surefire way to ruin your leather and cause MAJOR shrinkage
Woolite and Lexol are the best option.

I used lexol the other day and it's awesome. You dont need a lot to create a good amount of bubbles. I use dishwashing sponge (the soft side) and it works great. I go over it with 303 after cleaning.

I used Lexol religiously since 98 in all my 4 cars. I recently switched to Zymol for the nicer scent and easier to work with fluids. I used the Orange Hand Clearer with a semi soft bristle brush method on my GS leather to get the thick stuff off and it worked like a charm. Followed that with the Zymol leather cleaner and then Zymol leather Conditioner. Came out real nice. Great idea that I heard first right here on Club Lexus.
