Default Hand lotion/cream/soap + Brake dust

After washing rims the first time after winter with unsatisfactory results, my hands were all black and dirty from the brake dust. Then after washing my hands with my "Hand soap, cream and lotion" all in one thing, I was really surprised to find the brake dust instantly came off my hand when i barely scrubbed it.

I tried it on my rims yesterday after another 2 weeks of brake dust caked itself on it, all I did was wear a gardening glove, rinse the rims once, put a few blobs of those hand lotion, cream and soap stuff on my finger tips, smear it on the rims, smeared it all over the brake dust and all the dirty spots. At first it looks disgusting since it was just like wet brake dust and nothings changed, but right after I hosed it down with a gardening hose, the rim was shinny and clean, minus the few spots I missed.

Break dust = gone.

Yellow ish stain = gone.

Those weird brown brake dust smudge from the tire shine stuff getting on the rim and picking up brake dust = gone.

Each rim took less than 5 mins to clean .

I just want to share to see if anyone need a fast way to clean the rims. Also be brought to my attention if thats a bad thing to do or not.

Its okay haha, I had one of those pump action bottles and I was just going at it yesterday. I guess it has to be more towards those liquid hand soap, as they carries dirt off your hand and can be easily rinsed off where as just pure lotion itself can be rubbed dry without water.

I forgot to add, rinse your rims with water first, its just like washing your hand

To be honest I tried finding out, but I dont know lol.

Only the females of the house uses it, and my mom keeps refilling it inside the same bottle. Its some French brand called Jergen or something like that.

But it is just generic Liquid hand soap, but a bit more creamy and non transparent because it has hand cream and hand lotion in it.

Ill take some pic this weekend when I wash my rims again.

Took some pic of the stuff, lemme go eat my fruits and I'll post them up haha

It's basically a hand soap and lotion combined into one thing

The front, its in French ha it basically says: Jergens- cream for the hand, nourishing lotion, cream for the hands and face (if my French serves me correctly)

What the stuff looks like, I can sense the dirty jokes coming

Yep, and it rinse off with water just like normal soap too. Thats why I think it was able to eat the brake dust off the rims, and get rinse off making it really easy and no hassle for cleaning

You know, I wasn't even thinking of a dirty joke until you said it

It looks like normal lotion soap out there. I'll give it a try with whatever I have in my house next time I can take my wheels off. Costco overtorqued my wheels
