ok I planned on trying to restore my old headlights on my 98 gs400 this weekend. I will be using plastx and bought it at autozone. I was told they had a buffer adapter for a drill. I couldnt find one at autozone. Anybody know where else locally I could get one. Like an autoparts store. Im going to do it without sand paper first and see how good it comes. Mine doesnt have very many scratches. just really hazy.

yeh. i'm guessing you're looking for a power ball.. those things won't get your headlights clean. you're better off using a pair of old socks. best to do it is wetsand it.
i clean mine with plastX also, but had to rub the thing really hard for about 10 to 15 minuts..

Ok I just got back from advanced autoparts and bought the 1000 grit and 2000 grit sandpaper. I found something that would work to use drill as buffer, but it was 19.99 and was designed to get scratches out of paint. I almost bought it, but I thought I can get a random orbital buffer for that much and be alot safer.
