Default water fall: works or just a waste of water

I've been doing the water fall thing since I got my car and to me it seems like it helps because there seems to be less water pools/spots to dry.
For all the detail enthusiast, do you use the water fall/sheeting technique or do you think it's just a waste of water?

I'd rather do that than have a higher risk of scratching my paint when I dry it since I won't have to dry most of the car when I sheet

Ya I've read about the blower here but I've got a gas and it's a pain in the **** since I don't use it much.

By the way how come no pics of the detailed IS-F on your site.

Avoid a gas leaf blower, they leave an oily film on the car, it's a natural by- product of any 2 stroke engine. You won't always be able to see it without the proper sun /angle, but it's there. Not exactly what you want after washing the car.

Cheers

Almost any electric blower should work, but get one with at least a 150mph rating. You can find them at walmart, home depot, etc for around $50. Works great for getting water out of those darn crevices!

A way to make drying easier flowing water from top of the car, using low flow water should just sheen off the car.

I just noticed that Craftsman now has a 100MPH blower/vac that runs on their 19.2 V rechargeable system making it ultra portable and very mobile. On my "get" list. Only $40.
