Polishing Exahust

Polishing Exahust
I polished a friend's Mustang GT exahust with Eagle 1 wadding polish, and it turned out really nice. I will try polishing mine in the morning, but noticed some grime that I could not wash off. A while ago someone mentioned using like 3 grades of steel wool in order from coarse to fine and then using a polish. What grades should I buy at Evil-empire-known-as-wally world? Is the wadding polish ok? How can I protect the polishing that I will put on it? My friends car lost the polished look in a few days.

Hi,
In Australia there's a polishing agent called "Brasso" and "Silvo". They both do the same thing (well the results look the same to me) and I got a great finish on my exhaust when I last cleaned her (it's been raining for the last 2 weeks, hadn't had a chance to clean her since)
I dunno if you have it in the US but it's worth a try!!
