Minor paint job estimate??
Hi all,
Did anyone ever get a minor paint retouch job done on their lexus? (affected area about 1 inch by two inches) Anyone have any idea about how much it would cost to get it done?

You're asking a difficult question to give an accurate, across the board answer to, because there are too many variables;
1) Solid color, metallic, or pearl?
2) Is it on a panel with a crease/bodyline that the defect can taped off and be spot repaired, or will the entire panel have to be painted? If so, is it adjacent to another panel and require blending into the adjacent panel?
3) Want an estimate from a high end shop or average to low end shop?
4) Geographic area. Prices can vary 30% or more, depending where you live.
These are all things that GREATLY affect the price you'll pay.
It would be best to find a shop that specializes in spot repairs. I know Novus (the glass repair people) have franchisees that do this; they can melt in base/clear (including pearls) and repair very small areas w/o repaint or re-clearing the entire panel.
Most shops will not be able to do this, it requires special methodology and materials, so you'll have to call around.
Maybe see if there is a Novus paint specialist in your area and get an estimate?
Others will give you some price ideas, but it may not apply to your car, in your area, and your paint issue.
