Default using a squeegee to dry your car

Hey (I'm brand new to the forums!) just a question about drying my car with the California dry squeegee:
Okay so basically when I'm drying my car the squeegee makes a squeaking noise (It sounds like the noise that would be made if you were rubbing your finger against the car when its wet). I have a CRAPLOAD of swirl marks because my dad is a noob and used a stinking sponge to clean the car for like 4 years LOL. Anyways, I can't tell if its damaging my car, does anyone else use a squeegee? Does the water come off without any annoying squeaking noises? Thanks!

I would imagine it makes the noise against any "smooth" surface. Honestly, I would get the giant Vroom MF towels you see at Target if you are buying stuff locally. They're yellow, soft, and HUGE

I've scratched my car a couple times due to rocks getting trapped underneath the shammie. I find the Vroom towels are very efficient because you can just pat the towel on the water and it'll suck it right up. The waffleweave towels are the same case. You never have to drag it across the surface since it absorbs so well, that way the chance of scratching your paint is lower

I use a waterblade to dry my car combined with a PakShak waffle weave towel and have never seen scratches from it, works great.

I wouldn't use a blade. I've heard to many stories of people scratching there cars with them. I use a Metro vac-n-blow to blow off excess H2O and 1 PakShak WW towel to finish up.
