I've seen people mix Armor ALL and KIT protenctant and use it as that but I don't think this is what dealership use. They must have something more durable.
However the Armor all and kit mix is very nice. You have to apply it with a paint brush after you spray it in.

To begin with you need to steam clean the engine.
The shiny black can be achieved by wd-40, armorall, back_to_black etc. The only issue I have is that the wet stuff is a magnet for dust and you end up in worst condition you started from. It does have an impact at first glance.
I just use the blower or compressed air to keep the bay clean and dry.

303 Aerospace protectant all the way. It keeps all your hoses soft and smooth as a baby's bottom, without fear of the chaeffing associated with diaper rash.

I recommend our Black Tie Shine! It provides a "like new" finish and does not attract any dirt! When you apply it...wait 10 seconds and it will be dry to the touch. Go here http://www.thedetaildude.com/dressings.html and scroll down to read more.

Any product such as Armor All ,2001, etc will work fine and make the engine look new. I have pics of my engines in another thread here. No need to get fancy. Wash it down properly (no pressure, cover up certain areas) ,dry it up ,and apply.
