Default Tough carpet stain

I had some Pepto Bismol spill on my floor. When I noticed it, it had already hardened and caked up. How can I clean this up? It is approx a 3in by 3in patch.

Thanks,
Bryan N.

Try grabbing a small wet towel and covering the spot with it. That should hopefully make it back into a liquid or semi-liquid and in turn it should make getting it out easier. Just do that a couple times before using a carpet cleaner to get rid of the rest

If you have a wet/dry shop vac, I'd hit the area w/ hot water (direct from sink will work if you can run a hose), then extract. Once it starts to break up, you should be able to clean the rest up w/ a carpet cleaner, agitated w/ a brush, then extracted again. Lightning fast works well, as does 303. Folex is also another option.
