I use up the same amount of pads with PC and rotary per detailing session. The difference however is that after a few uses, the pads that were used with the PC become flat as a pancake, and they lose almost all their effectiveness. I'm still using the same pads on the rotary I bought over a year ago!

If the vibration isn't there, I'd use the PC more often. I just hate the numb feeling in my hand and a few people I know had permanent nerve damage. No matter how light or heavy the job is, the rotary works quicker and the finish comes out nicer. My menzerna products dont seem to work as effectively with a DA polisher. Come to think of it, the only time I really prefer using a DA over a rotary is when it comes to waxing the vehicle.
