Default Detailed: My GS400 (before vs after)

Just detailed my car. It's been way a while since I last detailed my car (as you can see ). Swirl marks were EVERYWHERE. From some angles, my car looked dull and gray. Anyways, here are the pictures:

Sorry for the lack of pictures and picture quality. I wasn't able to take as many pictures as I like because I was distracted. As of today, my car is swirl-free and I restored the deep and glossy black that was hidden. My friend helped me out a bit with applying sealant while I went around to polish the paint. Took us a total of maybe 5 hours from start to finish.

ONR
Clay
Menzerna Super Intensive Polish
Menzerna Final Polish
Polycharged Wolfgang Deep Gloss paint sealant
DP wax (Should have gone for the souveran instead!)

Menzerna Metal Polish
DP Tire Gel
DP Wheel Glaze

I used the rotary all around the car. Part of the roof was done with the UDM by my friend until the UDM broke. I eventually had to finish the car with just one machine. No wonder it took so long

EDIT: After pictures were taking BEFORE waxing. It started to get dark so I didn't apply wax until the next morning.

Your car came out looking great! I love the slightly modified look.

How old was your UDM and how did it break? Im getting ready to order one soon.

Thanks! I like the slightly modified look myself. Lowered on springs with a few other touches.

As for the UDM, my friend bought it maybe a little over a year go? The main problem is the body itself. The plastic body would misalign itself after a while. The maching is somehow out of balance right now so there is a A LOT of vibration that wasn't there in the first place. I think the new UDMs are better, but I dont know for sure. All I know is that my friend really hates his UDM and would rather use the Porter cable instead. It's a shame because the UDM was aggressive enough to tackle most defects...it just felt a bit cheap I guess.

The hood looks different because it collected a lot more dirt than the rest of the car. I'm weird. I take care of my car, but I dont actually take care of it. Sounds weird I know I go by without detailing it, but when I do detail, I really put effort into it.
