Thanks!

Cant really tell that well from the pics but it looks like CC failure to me. If it is in fact CC failure you would need to get it resprayed.

Yes, it is fixable but not without a respray. The paint is shot and will only get progressively worse. Looks like it may have been aggressively wetsanded. Evaluate the vehicle's mechanical condition and mileage and decide if it is worth investing in a repaint. If not, go see a professional detailer and have it detailled and then go trade it in on a new car.

Clear Coat Failure also happens from poor care for the paint...not washing regularly/ adding protection (wax/sealant) and from being in the sun a long time.

I purchased the vehicle like that and I use it as a daily driver so I dont want to spend the money to fix it. Can I stop it from spreading my applying some wax to it?

Check out this image. (I'm too lazy to resize and dont want to post with it being 1600x1200.)

This is a picture of my gf's first car (93 Jeep Grand Cherokee).

The left side used to look like the right side...

I basically wetsanded A LOT. Compound and polished.

You can definitely improve the looks of it and try to maintain it from spreading but in the long run it is inevitable..

I basically wetsanded A LOT. Compounded and then polished.

I want to warn you, it may get bigger and turn a little worse depending on your situation. If thats the case do not continue to wetsand.. Compound and then polish the paint back to normal and live with it.

I only did a lot of work to the jeep because it was an extreme case.
