I've read a few posts regarding cleaning the yellow haze off headlights. One method suggested fine grades of sandpaper followed by buffing with rubbing compound. Another mentions Plexus plastic cleaner. Which method works better? Also, the Plexus method mentioned cleaning the inside of the lens which I would rather not do if it not necessary since I don't want to take apart the lens. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Kevin

Go to your local automotive paint supply shop. Get some plastic cleaner compound. Several brands are available. Usually its a 2-stage buff job; one to remove scratches, and one final buff. Results are excellent and last for about a month, then you have to keep re-buffing them to keep them clear or else the return to normal. If you're high beams aren't yellow, don't pollish them.

My roommate's lenses on his Integra were clouded up and yellow as well, so this is what I did to clear them up for his HIDs:
wetsanded w/ 1500 grit sandpaper - it'll be all cloudy after you're done so don't worry, it's normal
Meguiar's Fine-Cut Cleaner #2 (in the tan bottle) on a terry cloth - clears it all up
Meguiar's Swirl Remover #9 (same tan bottle) on a terry cloth - removes the small swirls
His headlights look good as new now! While I was sitting there waiting for the wax to haze (I was waxing his car, also put some wax on the headlights
), I noticed our neighbor's beater Ford Festiva (or whatever it is)'s headlights were also yellowed so i cleaned one of her headlights and it was crystal clear after a quick 20 second job. She's still driving around right now w/ one clouded headlight and one clear. I wonder if she knows I'm the one who did it
