Ive got a few small chips on the bumper from where I got nudged in traffic one night. The paint as already begun to flake off and now I'm curious if it is too late to touch it up? The guy is paying for the repair of the whole bumper, but I sorta dont want to keep dumping money into a 10 year old car. I know the shop will do anything I want them too, but I'd like to get some answers from some paint experts first.
Any help would be awesome, guys

When ever you repair a plastic panel such like a bumper, you have to make sure that the shop knows to use a flex-agent-primer and or put this flex agent into the paint so when it is hit or flexed, it wont flake the paint off.
If you try to touch it up yourself with touch up paint, it will probably work ok until the panel gets flexed and the inflexible paint at that repair flakes off. You might have to have them paint the entire bumper to get it all to match and be right.. Good luck with this. DanF
