Default NEWBIE IN Waxing

okay...i am a newbie in this area.... and.. i need some suggestions... this is my routine... i need some help i guess ;D

1. Wash with Super Slick & Suds Car Wash (Poorboys)
2. Wax the whole car using Paste wax (Poorboys)
3. wait till it is cloudy then buff it off using microfiber...

Is there anything wrong or is there anything extra i should do... i clay the car once a year... and do this every 3 mths or so... if it is daily wash.. i would use... the Quick Detailer instead...

COmments??

I dont see any problems. I personally dont wax the whole car w/ nattys before removing. I usually remove after applying to each panel, but if this is working for you, theres no reason to change... the wax is just being given a little more time to set up. Nattys Paste wax is so easy to use though, I love it

I think you're good to go!

btw, if you wanted an extra step like you asked about, you can consider applying a glaze before the wax. Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze, Poorboys Black Hole or Red Moose Glaze all look killer on black cars!

You can toss some polishing in there.

^^What wax are you using? There are some (few) waxes out there that let you apply in the sun. Also, depending on the type of wax you use would also determine how long you leave it on there before removing it. Some are wipe on wipe off waxes, and some you leave for a certain amount of time.

2nd^^ Really depends on what you're using. You can apply some products to the whole vehicle before removing and some are best removed right after applied.
