from the video, it doesn't look like any particulate gets washed off the car. maybe lifted/loosened. but from the video, which is a demonstration, possibly not how to actually use it, nothing touches the ground. i'd want the dirt to be on the ground
It usually does. Depending on how dirty the car is of course but generally it does release the dirt off the surface of the car and goes on the ground. There are some threads on Detailing World that illustrate it quite well
Its pre rinse (if necessary), foam, let dwell for 5 min or so, blast remaining soap/residue off. That will get rid of a majority of the dirt from what I've read in the past. Liquefying the dirt/bug guts is the general idea of the thing

Costco sells a Karcher that has 1750psi and 1.5gpm. Its working pretty well with the foam cannon so far
From what I've read on some forums, Karchers are quite durable for the price range. I'm hoping thats true but with Costco's refund policy (which never seems to expire lol), I'm not too worried
