i was wondering if there's a good product to use in between washes where you can just spray on your car and wipe off? i got a car wash yesterday and it drizzled.. i wiped off the water and it still looks clean but still. should i mix water and car wash soap in a spray bottle and just spray and wipe? what do you guys think?

There are numerous QD (Quick Detail) products on the market for just that purpose - spray on and wipe off. I prefer Meguiars QD spray.

Theres a bunch of products for this type of task. For a waterless wash to clean up the surface in a situation as you described, I would go w/ Poorboys Spray n Wipe. This product was developed for this very type of situation. There are no additives (waxes, etc) included so all it is designed to do is safely clean the surface. You can also go w/ ONE, which does include some kaolin clay and wax to improve gloss. If you wanted a quick detailer to use after washes, I prefer Spray n Gloss or quikshine.

Megs UQD is also pretty good for dust and stuff. I've moved on to the QD dilution of ONR though, more economical that way

I QD after every wash. It's easy adding only about 10 minutes to the job and it leaves the finish slick and adds gloss. I use Meg's UQD for this. The product also helps shed water from your paint much like RainX or Aquapel does for the glass. Good stuff.
