Default My 1999 GS 300 Center Console

Hey I wasn't sure where to put this thread, so I thought I would put it here, since my center console is nasty and I want to replace it with a clean one.

I just want to change the armrest actually, but wasn't sure of an easy way to do it.

I got a whole center console from a junkyard in Cali for around $100.

Here is a pic of my current armrest:

Here is the one I want to replace it with:

Is there any way I can just replace the armrest and not the whole center console? And if so, how?

This might be an easy task, but I'm in the dark!

Any help would be very much appreciated! And if this is in the wrong forum, sorry!

Flip up the armrest, there's a plastic black cover with several screws. Unscrew them and remove the cover. Under that there's a few bolts attached to a bracket. I believe there are only two of them to get the armrest free. Just do the same to both armrests then switch them. Hope that helps.

Wow. I feel like an idiot! I guess I never looked hard enoguh for those tiny screws.

Thank you very much!

No problem, my first GS had the same problem. Let us know if it works out for you.

Looks much better. Glad it worked out for you. Now you need a new shift **** and rewrap the steering wheel.

Shift **** is next.

And I would love to rewrap the steering wheel. No idea where to start though. Any idea on how much that price would range from?

looks much better. Mine looks shabby as well but I am going to just wait until I have my full interior redone.
