Default Vinegar for waterspots

I've seen posts before where it is suggested to use vinegar to remove waterspots from your car. What do you do if the waterspots were polished over? Remove the polish with Dawn? Do you use the vinegar "straight up", or dilute it with water? If so, how much dilution?

Thanks for the info...

Sorry - should have searched first. Got my answer from prior postings. Straight up or 50/50 will work, and the Vinegar will remove the wax.

Never mind.....

Yea, the vinegar will remove the wax and polish because of its acidic content
