I think i'll be safe with my 2500psi washer since it seems like alotta ppl have the same one with there foam cannons on autogeeks.

nice all this stuff looks great, I'm a bit of a noob though so could someone explain to me how a pressure washer works?
Also I thought that even if you used a foam gun you stiff had to scrub it with a sponge/mitt?

Here it is to the best of my knowledge. Water is forced into the wand with a mixture of air and water, making it "supercharged" and much stronger than normal hose pressure. With a foam cannon, the soap mixture inside mixes in the knozzle with the water+air mixture to create foam. Thats what I think it is anyway

The foam from a Foam lance(pressure washer powered) or Foam gun(hose powered) is designed to liquefy the dirt/bugs/whatever is on the paint and slowly slide down to the ground below. That will lower the risk of scratching your paint further when you use the 2 bucket method. So to answer your question, yes, you do have to wash it after

That may be the reasoning behind using a foam gun, but you know you bought it because it looked like fun.

Gotta have a fun hobby to play around with

I can't refuse a normal wash/wax job anymore either because of this. I'm still looking for a reason to bust it out even though its still raining

Unfortunately, I was supposed to detail my car interior this weekend (shampoo floor mats, clean leather etc) but its raining..and i won't have time to bust out my rotary for paint correction...maybe saturday? I just picked up some more Meguiars M80 and show car glaze hehe.

Run outside blast the car with foam and wait for the rain to rinse it off.

You are lucky, I'm getting close to the red zone in terms of polishing. My roof just started having clearcoat failure due to stupid cat claws

I'll have to resort to filling from now one, which I really hate doing

ugh edit that. I got so many things going on + midterms I'm just going to vacuum, wash, and layer of glaze.
My driverside door handle has clear coat failure lol.

hey eyezack,

could you tell me if this pressure washer would be any good?

http://www.karcherresidential.com/en...aram2=&param3=

saw it in BJ's wholesale for 99.99 and was thinking about picking one up.

Lower pressure=less foam from what I've been told. I picked the middle ground since 1800psi is generally a good place to be. It works with 1000psi though but I just wanted more power

Seems to be pretty good though
