I bought an OEM car cover about a month ago and have used it since. Today I took it to the laundromat and put it through the wash (with no detergent or fabric softener added), and when I took it out of the wash it was barely wet. A waste of $4, but it did make me realize that I have no idea on care for the car cover so I took it home and let it dry.

So my question: any tips on how to clean a car cover? I've searched and haven't found anything informative. I'm not sure which brand or what material it is, but my car cover is gray with small weaves and "Lexus" stamped on both ends of it (I bought it on Craigslist).
