I'll give the grout sponges a try on my 3.2TL since it has become my test victim. It was my test car before getting repainted, but it got keyed after the repaint, so its back to test victim status.

Proline grout sponges work very esp considering that they're only like 1.94 EACH! Hold good amount of soap and squeezes it out just as quick
