can you wax (im using butter wet wax) after washing?? like regular wax not spray wax.
reason why im asking is cuz i was wondering do you have to clay or polish before waxing.
That should be perfectly fine. I wax after each wash out of habit so it doesn't feel "off" to me. At most I get about 3 extra layers before stripping the thing clean and starting over with a fresh layer
Thanks for the link! Does this stuff REALLY work? It's going to be pollen season real soon in NY, and I have a lot of long needle white pine trees where I live which produces mega pollen.
It works quite well. I've tried a sample..Works better than the CG antistatic QD..Techincally from a chemists standpoint, if you sprayed the car with dH20 it'd have the same affect, although a lack of polymers to create a nice gloss.
I recently started using Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax between my regular sealing and it works very well to keep pollen under control. It makes the surface pretty slick and dust and dirt don't stick as much making it easier to keep clean. While not a QD it is a wowo product that adds slickness, gloss and protection. Adds like 10 minutes to the wash and it doesn't dust or stain vinyl or rubber. In fact, I now use it on all my black vinyl surfaces too instead of vinyl trim products. It has the same water shedding properties as NXT 2.0 and their Ultimate Quik Detailer but is not intended to be used as a QD to remove surface dust. If your car is just a bit dusty use the UQD first then the UQW.

Yes, I have used it too. I agree with you. I just gave my bottle of UQW to my father as he doesn't keep his cars clean like he used to, and I just detailed his 98' Acura TL with a nice coat of Collinite 845. I told him that after he washes to put UQW on to lengthen his wax coat, and gave him the MF applicator to use and showed him how to apply it.
Are you on MOL too?
When I first read eyezack87's post on the FK425, I almost thought it too good to be true. Now I'm going to have to try it out. I like to try new things, although the UQW will be a keeper. I just ordered M135 Synthetic detailer to see how that work too. On sale at ADS, so why not?
I forget my car always have a sleek layer of spray wax. There's no swirl if gently sweep on a sleek finish (Not dragging the CA duster over the panels).

I've been using the UQD for after wash then apply the NXT 2.0 and it bonds so well together. I should try the UQW for maintaining the wax. THanks for the 411.
