The Twins war....PC vs Makita using the (Twin combos) By:Mr. Cheap & Lazy
Sooo I decided to put my new PC to the test using the KB method...
Thanks Phil once again for the speedy shipping of the PorterCable:
I also purchased my PowerGloss/ and Power Finish from him awhile ago
As well as the yellow LC pads...and the green ones when he had a BOGO offer
I would've used my DSLR but its with BenLS460
The Arsenal:
Chemical Guys Window MF's
**** Rag Fluffy MF
Optimum No Rinse w/ DH20 as a quick detailer spray
MTE 900 Lumen SSC Flashlight
Craftsman Shop Lights
AutoMagic Claybar
Pad Spurring Tool
Porter Cable 7424
Meguiars M105
Meguiars M205
Detailers Domain Orange Pad
Detailers Domain Green Pad
Makita CX3
LCS Yellow Pad
LCS Green Pad
Menzerna PowerFinish (203)
Menzerna PowerGloss (S34)
Well I decided to give my new products a run as I only have used 106FA with orange so far on my hood.
(after claying)
(not as bad as before but still it has swirls)
(new goodie that came in the mail)
(not too bad) Considering Ben's LS460 was around 180-170 on average..
(So far its been Claybarred); and the paint readings have been taken)

Only a few rids left
(faint line of transition) (where the flash sort of makes it out) is the splitting point
All in all both work quite well
(masking tape residue)
My 2 cents:
The Makita will get it done faster; with less wear on your pads; and with only about a 1/4th of vibrations

I wish Kevin did hurry up.(it seems to be less efficient) than using a rotary.....The PC sure does vibrate like no other,.I guess I'll just use my new PC for Jeweling and thinner paints; and fiberglass..and it rounds out the ends of my pads.. while the makita seems to have the centers suck themselves in....
