Default Swirl Source?

Hi guys,

I just noticed that I had some very light swirls on my paint and I'd like to get your opinion on where they're probably coming from. I wash weekly using ONR, microfibers from Sam's Club to wash and MF from Glimmer Glass to dry. The GG MF towels I'm not worried about as they're great But I'm thinking that the cheap MF towels might be the culprits.

However, I do also dust the car using a CA car duster on a daily basis. I've checked the fibers on that thing to make sure there is nothing caught inside, and there isn't, but that doesn't mean that there was never anything in there.

So would it probably be the duster, the cheap MF or some combo of both?

As far as the swirls, I just applied some scratch x and it came off with surprisingly little elbow grease.

Completely avoiding any swirl/spider webbing forever is pretty hard imo. I think its more of, how well can it be controlled/minimized. W/ that said, I too would probably take a look at those costco towels. Try using the ONR w/ a little higher quality towel that has a longer stranded fiber to help capture the dust/dirt from the surface. iirc, the costco towels have relatively short/tight strands on them.
You can try a towel like our Elite Towel, which has longer fibers on one side, and shorter on the other.

also with the CA duster, you should use as little pressure as possible with just the weight of the bristles against the paint.

If you want to find out what's causing it. Go get a blank CD and rub each product on the underside of the CD and see if it'll scratch.
