Question Wood Cleaning

What is the best cleaner to use on the wood around the shifter and cupholder ect.? How much would you say it cost?

meguiar's and mothers have some good all purpose or vinyl/rubber cleaners for the inside of your car. should be around $5 for a bottle.
you are not really cleaning the wood, just shining up the material they covered it with. if you keep it protected, your wood trim should do great.

I too have used pledge and comparable spray cleaners/waxes w/ OK results. I had a problem w/ swirl marks and minor scratches on wood surfaces on my '98 ES300. I tried GS27, a scratch remover that has been heavily advertised as a cure all for scratches on exterior auto surfaces. To my pleasant surprise, the product did a great job removing the swirls/scratches in the wood surface and left behind a 'new car like shine'.

The GS27, IMHO, does a lousy job on the metal surfaces for which it is intended. But, on wood surfaces, I'd highly recommend it. Simply follow the instructions, rub the product on gently in a circular motion, and; the swirl marks/scratches disappear.

I have good results with GS27 on very lightly scratched surfaces like small fingernail scratches under the door handle. It works great on places like that.

I use murphy's oil soap on my home and auto wood finishes. Works great!

I use pledge. Watch your rings and watches, they scratch up the wood finish.
