Default How to remove paint from windows?

I have a friend who thought it would be funny to draw on the rear windshield of my SC using decorative paint pens colored white, purple, and red. It sat on my car for about two weeks and when I washed it yesterday, white and purple came right off. Red stayed on.

I tried scraping it off with a window scraper and no luck. I scraped some of it off with a screwdriver and it scratched the glass. I scratched some of it off with my fingernail and it works, but it'll probably take me a decade to remove all that gunk. I tried spraying Invisible Glass and scrubbing it with a microfiber and newspaper, still no luck.

Any ideas on how to remove this stubborn paint? Paint is supposed to be 'safe', from paint pens used for decorating on windows, usually found in Target or Wal-Mart for about $1.50 each.

If it is on glass only then goof off will soften the paint and it should wipe off, but try to avoid letting it touch your car's paint.

I was going to say goo gone. Some type of mild solvent should do the trick, just try to keep it on the glass

Goo Gone worked very well. It removed 97% of the gunk. The remaining 3% are smears and drips, it'll be taken care of with some solvent and elbow grease.

Thanks for everyone's input!
