Default paint condition from rubbing wheels?

just a hypothetical question, but what happens to the paint on the fender from a tire that is rubbing the fender lip? will the rubbing of the fender lip cause the fender to warp causing the paint to crack? also, will there be a difference between new paint and oem paint?

depending how severe is the rubbing, not only the paint can crack, lol, it can disappear, tire can also grab and twist the ***** out of the fender, I've had to fix more than a few dozens, you need to make sure the lip is folded flat so the edge of the lip can not be grabbed by the tire when making a turn, visually there shouldn't be any difference between a repaint and OEM paint, the later one is usually a bit more durable
