Chrome wheels are far worse in terms of maintenance and upkeep in the long run. If you curb chrome wheels them you can't repolish them back to original shape. Plus, chrome scratches easily and this can't be polished out either. Everything will need to be disassembled and rechromed, its really more of a pain and high cost if the long run.
I have owned both Chromed and polished and polished wheels are the way to go.
You MUST MUST MUST have P21S polishing soap if you have polished wheels. Absolutely easilest way to clean any uncoated metal surface.

I too have learned of the labor of owning a polished lip... every other week sitting on the ground and scrubbing with polish then waxing. Will using the products you mention allow me to make this a monthly labor of love instead?
