Thanks Joe.
Engines take me less than 30 minutes unless it is extremely dirty. After doing a decent amount you become faster at it.
Thanks!
Thanks a lot!
I have no idea, it came like that and is so ugly.
Thanks Stef. Next time you need some help lol holla at me.
Thanks a lot, PM sent.
Thanks! I will probably place another order soon as I have a couple of things I need.
I would love to know why as well. It is so ugly lol.
I only use 100% organic dog hair to dry my cars lol.
Lol stuff is amazing.
Thanks!

Great job on the detail. I love the flake in that paint.
I was going to ask the exact question.
I can handle flat black or flat body color but tan with drip/run marks??? I would have the dealer paint it when I bought it. It would be pretty easy to pull off the intake, tape off that support, and spray paint it yourself too. It would make the engine bay look SO much better. IMO of course.

Thanks!
Yeah I think I am going to paint it at least black for the time being. The tan looks so ugly.
I did it over a couple of crappy days in a slow paced manner but no more than 8 hours for everything.
Posted them up. Thanks a lot!

Maybe this is why?
Hey guys I was just thinking something. Since that ugly paint is on everyone's IS, judging by where the paint is applied it may be some kind of ceramic paint to keep intake temps down.
It looks like the snorkel is further back on the IS than on my 99 LS, so that puts the radiator heat right in front of the intake track. It makes sense to me but ofcourse this may not be the case. That's just what popped into my head when everyone said the same thing about the paint .
You would think Lexus would have executed this with a much nicer looking application .
