Default PaPaHoFF Detailed: Lexus 06 IS250 AWD

This is actually my car and it has not had much TLC since the last time it was fully detailed around November. The car has its fair share of swirls but the weather unfortunately has been miserable these past couple of weeks. I was however lucky enough to get 1 sunny day to take some pics. My car will be entered in Hot Import Nights.

2006 Lexus IS250 AWD

Wash
- CG CWG Foam
- 2 bucket method w/ Meg Gold class
- Meg's APC

Wheels
- P21s wheel Gel
- EZ detail brush
- Zymol wheel brush
- Meg's APC on Wells

Clay
- Riccardo Yellow clay
- Adams QD as lube

Polishing
- SIP on Orange CCS
- 106FF on White CCS
- Flex 3401

LSP
- Swissvax Cleaner Fluid on Blue CCS
- Swissvax Finesse by hand
- Swissvax Autobahn on wheels
- CG Barebones on wells & engine
- BlackWOW on trim

Glass
- Meg's Glass Cleaner

Interior
- Lexol Leather Cleaner
- Lexol Leather Conditioner
- 303
- Meg's APC
- Woolite + water
- Steam w/ TR5
- Extract carpets with Durrmaid Heated Extractor

Exhaust
- Optimum Metal Polish
- #0000 Steel Wool

Befores: Not many due to crappy weather.

Foam with CG CWG in Glimour Foamer

After the wash. Paint is a little dull

This is to give an idea of the swirls I am dealing with

Some more swirls

and more...

My test panel = PERFECTO!

I wish I had more of the process under halogen but it was crazy bad weather and it was finals week for me so I had to do this quick in between studying.

I also had a friend help me finish her off lol.

Question

Nice job. I have a question - why is the radiator support/crossmember tan with paint runs? It caught my attention immediately as being out of place.

Big Mack The radiator support on most new Lexus are like that. Also under hood on my 2009 RX 350 looks like they didn't put clear on it real dull. I will call our service rep. an ask him why they are doing this. Will get back later with answer if they give me one!!!!
