This was my customers daily driver that's in great mechanical shape however the paint was another story. At pickup the car looked cleaned but after further inspection at the shop I noticed a ton of sap on the car as its parked outside under a tree. Sap was on the paint as well as all over the windows. Let's say we threw out a the clay bar after this one. The car has never been properly polished in its 11 years on the road. So I went at this one with Power Gloss, PO203, and finished with PO85RD, since I haven't been giving Lusso any love lately I decided to finish off with it on this detail and I was very very happy with the results.

As for the interior it was in great shape, a vac, and interior wipe down with the usually got it looking clean again.

As for the engine that was another story, P21S Total Autowash was used to clean it up and Black Wow and Einszett Vinyl Rubber Care was used to treat the rubber.

Great job Phil. It always amazes me that there are people out there who do not take care of their expensive cars...but 11 years?? WOW! You had your work cut out for you on this one. The engine looks fantastic!!

Phil, if i said you did an amazing job, it would be an understatement! The after pics are simply stunning. I have a couple questions for you if you dont mind me asking. What do you do with all that dust from the menzerna products? And why do you use the tape? What purpose does it serve? Thanks in advance

the tape is so I don't burn the trim on the bmw, the bmw's I have worked with always had thin coats of paint on the bumper. as well the plastic trim doesn't hold up well to 1500 rpm when touched (ask me how I know I rubbed up against my e36 m3)

as far as the dust I rinsed it all off with water.

too bad I don't have a steady hand I believe the pictures don't really tell the whole story.

engines from the mid 90's up are pretty water tight.

i don't do much I spray p21s on it , brush, rinse let it dry, if you don't have the stomach for it, then give it to a pro...

I know many of my customers won't do it themselves.
