I allways use cold water. Hot water will evaporate faster and may leave behind water buildups. Besides, the water coming out of my facet is cold anyways.

I like to use Ivory... 99.99% pure enough for me, so it must be good for my car. ha ha, just kidding.

I use the OTC from Target TurtleWax wash and wax in green or blue, whichever is on sale. I follow the instructions for mixing and then I use cold water straight from the hose. I find that I give the whole car a quick splash down. Then I jet spray the panel I'm about to wash. Wash it down, then give it a quick rinse. Then move on... then when I'm all done, give it another shower and park the car.

Please don't use hot water to wash down a car. It will crack the window or windows in cold weather. I saw this happen trying to get snow off a new car one time. The salesperson thought he would be helpful an he took hose and hooked tohot water an started spraying . When I got back to my stall to late FRONT WINDOW WAS CRACKED. I don't no about warm weather. Its just easer to get cold water at home to rinse with.

Hot water + window covered in snow = big time thermal shock

I use whatever is in the hose, but thankfully it's in the shade so the water is cool. I tried warm water once, but I use the 2 bucket/2 grit guard method so by the time I soap, wash, rinse, and continually move 2 buckets around, the water is cold half way through. I use Checmical Guy's citrus soap, and Meguire's for interior, Lexol Cleaner/Conditioner on the leather, and Checmical Guy's/Smart Wax for the carpets.

I just use whatever comes out of the tap in the spring, summer and fall.

For winter, I fill up lukewarm water in a bucket to use with ONR.

I use a warm wash, cold rinse. I never use armorall anything, on the interior I use Lexol, let it sit on the leather for a day, and then I go over all of the rubber seals, interior and exterior, the leather, the dash and steering wheel with 303 Aerospace Protectant. The car looks amazing.
