Default 3M Crystalline?

Hi,

I got different quotes from 3 different shops:
1. 275 (when I called again, it became 299)
2. 700 (the owner recommended me getting something else for the rear windows, but I want to keep the same color on all windows)
3. 450 (when I called again, it became 650)

It sounds like that they are making huge profits out of tinting, and so the prices fluctuate so much.

Anyone in the Bay Area (north cal) got 3M Crystalline and don't mind sharing the quote?

Thanks in advance.

3M crystalline is 3M's ceramic tint right?

If you are looking at Ceramic tints, Rocky mountain tint in pleasanton,CA does Formula pinnacle 1 for 399

Yea, I read a lot of good reviews about Rocky Mountain Tint.

But it is a little bit too far (43 miles away...I am in the south bay).

Formula Pinnacle 1 has some good reviews too; but I want a lighter one -- 70% visible light -- to stay away from the fix-it tickets ;-)

Thanks for your input extreme99 =)

i was also looking to do 70%..i've went to 7 shops between today & yesterday and only one shop carries the crystalline. price was= too damn much $1100...i think im going for a 50% lite grey (solarguard). so, that $299 quote you first got is nice.

Anything below 300 sounds too good to be true to me because I saw that someone was selling 3M Crystalline for ~$280 (that roll of film is claimed to be enough for 1 sedan), and the shop sends about 2-4 hours on it, and so I think that adding labor (assuming 50$ per hour), it will go over 400 easily.

I still think that whether I should take the risk of taking the $299 one and then have 3M to check whether the film is authentic afterward.
