when should i wax my car?
i've had my car for about 8 months now brand new off the lot, when will be a good time for a wax? the paint is still smooth but there are some swirl marks !

you should do it asap and try not to take your car to the car wash...esp dont let the dealership wash your car.

wax and protect of any sort as much as you can. don't worry about swirls, worrry about etching and fallout. only area 51 has the formula for swirl free paint.

a decent caranuba wax usually once a month... watch for water beading, thats usually your Q to know if a re-wax is needed.

Well none that I can see. I'll never buy a black car again. Damm tar is annoying tho.

I hardly have the time of patience to wax my car, so once a month is good enough for me.

I wax mine every 6 months, whether it needs it or not. But it's always garaged and I use the Jeep for bad weather, etc.

Once a month
can you say overkill!!!! Wax twice a year, by wax I mean strip off all old wax (w/ dish soap). first claybar the entire car, second (optional in my opinion) us a surface cleaner, third polish and fourth carnuba wax. If done right (by hand) should take about 4-6 hours, depending on how **** you are. Good luck

Sometimes and sometimes not, depends a lot on how washed and how often washed. But I agree, wax is gone in 6 months regardless of babying.
