MF lifespan

Some seem to last years others months. Longevity depends on the quality and what you use them on. As they get old, get stained and perhaps lose some of their absorbency, I use them for less demanding jobs.
Seems like the better the quality the longer they last. I reserve my highest quality towels for paintwork though. I also keep the towels I use with sealants separate from those I remove polish with. I use bulk packaged cheaper towels for wheels, engines, interior, etc.
I have some mf towels that are years old and they looking and performing great.
I wash them in a front loader with a small amount of Tide HE and use a vinegar rinse.
For stained mf's, I toss them in a bucket with some APC and let them soak overnight then wash.

How long the towels last also depends on their quality and how you treat them (where you leave them, how often they're cleaned, how you store them, and what you use it for).
I've had some of my sonus waffle weave towels for 2 years now with no issues. I can't say the same about some of my polishing towels since I get too lazy to wash them. They collected so much dust sitting outside and have polish caked in the fibers.

It depends on a lot of factors, but our towels are rated to withstand 300+ washes. I recommend washing with the Chemical Guys Microfiber Detergent to help prolong their life. Generally speaking I keep three groups of towels. THe first group is my pristine towels that must look and feel perfect. I use them on the clear coat and other sensitive surfaces. The second group is towel still in good condition that I use for the interior and other similar tasks. The last group are more like my rags. I use them for door jambs, engine detailing, etc. Let me know if you have any other questions.
