I've heard about this thing called a 'PermaShine.' I'm thinking about getting it for my R8 but I'm curious as to what it actually is... could the experts chime in here and help me out?

I checked out their site and I think it's just a spray wax...nothing special here. Is this something you're going to do or is it something the dealer is offering?

In case you can't read French it basically says that PermaShine gives a flawless, wet look to your car for years (garanteed 5 years) that resists weather and prevents swirls from forming on the surface of the paint. It's basically composed of silicone, paint presevatives and acrylic which basically creates a protective cocoon down to the sheet metal. I've heard nightmares about being unable to repaint teflon-treated paints back in the 90s...
