Default quick question!

whats better? claying with a quick detailer or claying just with water after rinsing the car down?

I always use the supplied QD. It provides the proper lubrication which water does not, IMO. Some clay degrades rapidly in water too.

You NEVER want to just use water. Always use the manufacturer's lube as directed. Only certain soaps can be used with clays as they're low in alkalinity and won't break down the plasticizers in the clay. What clay are you using?

im not sure..my friend is gonna lend me his extra meguiar claybar he got in a pack.

so i should fully dry the car then spray the QD on the area im working on?

The meguiar's clay bar isn't all that great. It's way too mild and their lube has wax in it that hinders the clay's ability to properly do its job. Try using a better clay like clay magic. You can find it at any auto part store and the clay is blue. We also sell a clay bar system and it works very well:

Yep, thats no problem. ONR can be used as a clay lube. I have used it, although I do prefer to use a dedicated clay lube like LUBER though.
