Default how to remove clear from wheels??

i have diamond cut wheels and the clear started peeling on 3 of the wheels.
i used aircraft stripper and took about 90% of the clear off but i cant get the rest of the clear off. i then started wet sanding with 1000 then 1500 then 2000 and then i used mothers polish and used a buffer. it looks okay but i cant get all of the clear off. should i take the wheels somewhere? what should i do

Send the wheels to a professional wheel repair shop, they can dip the wheels in an acid bath to strip them clean then refinish. They will look good as new.

Yea I called two wheel places and they both said that the wheel will have to be painted.. so I'm going to just keep sanding and just polish them.

Once you remove the clear from diamond cut wheels they will never be the same.

i would say leave it to a rim shop, before damages on the actual face arise.

Raw diamond cut is damaged even if you touch it with your finger. You can try to find a shop that recuts the face and then reclears it too. Not very many shops do that and it's very expensive.
