Thanks again for the help. So start to finish...

1.Wash
2.Clay bar
3. PC7424xp LC white pad +m205
3a. If swirls still appearent move to LC orange +m105?
3b. Follow with LC white +m205
4. LC Grey+m205
5. What type of was do you recommend?
6. Any pre wax cleaners?

Thanks again

TL

It should have the cut, but it's always good to have a backup in case.

1. Wash
2. Clay
3. Tape
4. Use the 7424XP with M105 and LC Orange Pad
5. Use M205 with LC White Pad
6 Use M205 with LC Black Pad to finish up and go slow.
7 Light wash to remove dust.
8. Meguairs NXT Wax
9. Enjoy your ride.

I'd have a few orange pads..you tend to eat through them quickly especially with the KB method.

When one is detailing, you should have at least 3-6 of each color you need. I finish a S600 today and went thru 12 pads myself.

You can resuse the pads right, If you clean them? Or is it just a one time deal.

yes of course u can reuse the pads, just make sure to clean them thoroughly. some detailers mark which each pad used what polish/wax etc, this way it doesnt cross contaminate.

I just use a mild soap and work it into where the polish was and then soak them in cool to warm water for a little bit and then let them dry. Don't use hot water or a strong soap or it will ruin the glues bond and start to cause the back of the pad to separate. There are special pad cleaning products that might work better but I have never used them.

I have a pair of the orange and yellow cutting pads and just one each of the blue and black finishing.

I never used them but I was reading up on them on Autopia and many members were having durability issues with them and saying they did not last long mainly with the pad separating from the velcro, they may have been improved by now though. One thing they stress is not to use them while they are wet as it will create steam and cause the glue to fail, they need to be completely dry to use and it is better to use water based polishes. The hydro pads are more suited for harder clear coats where Lexus clears are pretty soft, your paint is especially soft since you have single stage paint. On some sticky/grabby soft paints like on a S2000 hydro is not a good choice and can bog down a PC.

I would just stick with mainly the regular orange pads and maybe experiment with 1 tangerine if you want to try it. You won't need the cyan which is pretty aggressive on your paint. 6.5 in pads are not going to do a very good job of correcting swirls/scratches with a PC either, I would get 5/5.5 inch or 4 inch for correcting.
