Default How do you polish interior chrome pieces?

On a 2GS...the chrome trim piece around the shifter... how would you polish out the hairlike tiny scratches on it?

Do you guys know if it's made of plastic or metal? Can I use wheel polish on it?

Try using a mild polish that you would use on your paint. That would be a good start. Most chrome pieces, unless it's a Rolls Royce-Bentley-Maybach-etc., are on plastic now days.
