Default Ferrari 599GTB Paint Correction and Detail

Here's another 599 we did a while ago. The initial condition was typical of a car we get that has never been properly detailed. As you'll see, the exterior had quite deep scratches and imperfections that needed our TLC. The interior of this 599 also got some close attention. The leather and upholstery cleaned up pretty good. I hope you guys enjoy reading this post as much as we did working on this gorgeous Ferrari.

Initial Condition

Tires, Wheels, and Wheel Well Cleaned - 40 Minutes

P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner is dwelling. This breaks down road grimme, tar, and brake dust.

Engine Cleaned - 20 Minutes

P21S Total Auto Wash, a citrus cleaner, was used to break down, loosen, and dissolve dirt and oils in the engine bay.

Exterior Rinsed and Washed - 30 Minutes

very very very nice write up. i love how you wrote how long it took for each step - dont usually see that. can i ask why you clean the rims and tires separetly? i usually spray the P21S Gel on the rims and P21S TAW on the tires at the same time and clean the rim first, then the tire. that way i dont have to come back again.

Thanks for checking it out.

We don't clean the rim and tires separately. Rather, tires and wheels get an INITIAL cleaning when washing. Since we're a little OCD, they tires and wheels get cleaned again because I want the rubber to be perfect. There's always some build up of tire conditioner in the lettering of the tires. Most won't see it, but we do. So, we spend some extra time and make sure any dirt, grimme, and old tire conditioner is removed from the surface of the tires in order for the new conditioner to penetrate the rubber and give the satin sheen we're after. Hope this explains it.

I know...our OCD is both an asset and liability. We have an attention for the smallest detail, but sometimes that means we spend way too much time making things perfect. But hey, it could always be worse right?
