Default New paint question

I recently got my bumper and hood repainted, and I wanted to know how long or even if I had to wait before washing/waxing/polishing the paint. Thanks in advance!

Wash gently after 2 weeks since new paint is soft and not washing might get containment's in it. Most people say to wax after 3 months.

Washing and polishing are ok immediately. In fact, this is done by the painter prior to delivery. Wax or sealant are not ok, typically, for around 90 days. Check with your painter for his recommendations. They should have advised you when you picked the car up.

You should ask the painter. With so many different paint chemistry, clearcoat chemistry, how the paint was baked and cured, too many variables to generalize. The painter will know exactly since that what he/she does. Our painter uses a state-of-the-art paint system and curing oven. Most his cars are ready to be worked on days after.
